This is the first book from the trilogy entitled The Collection: the Petersburg Prose (The Leningrad Period) and devoted to the period from 1960's to 1980's. The present volume includes previously published and first published works by the authors of the so-called "Other Culture". Their characters are "disillusioned idealists", who obtain their honor and dignity from their private life, totally independent from the Soviet state.
