The book of poetry by the world-known scholar contains three sections: religious poems, selected translations, youth poems and occasional verse. Averintsev's creations combine the aspiration to penetrate the very heart of the things and the events of "here and now", the comprehension of over-individual and the specific "confessional" intonations. The author imparts to the reader the belief in the reality of the spiritual, the reality both lucid and unyielding, steadfast and independent from one's will.
