The Diary of Mikhail Kuzmin (1872-1936) is undoubtedly most important and scandalous testimony about Russian cultural life of intellectual and personal relations in the Symbolist milieu. Its bluntness, especially in Kuzmin's self- identification as gay, numerous intimate confessions, close connection of sexual and cultural issues discussed by its author made this text a taboo for any wide audience for long time. Kuzmin recorded his life since 1905 till 1934, and "The Diary of 1934" published by Ivan Limbach Publishing House in 1998 is followed now by present volume which covers 1905-1907. The subject of these chapters is Kuzmin's entry to the literary world where he soon appeared to be a central figure. The diary reflects both important and already forgotten, sometimes mysterious, events in Russian cultural life of the early 20th century, portrays major writers and artists:Viacheslav lvanov, Alexander Blok, Andrei Belyi, Fedor Sologub, Maximilian Voloshin, Konstantin Somov, Nikolai Sapunov, Sergei Sudeikin, etc.
