This is a book of short essays by Lev Rubinshtein who has written in this genre for the two last years, and publishes in the monthly "ltogi." It consists of 20 texts, or - according to the definition of the author - experiments in the "periodical belles-lettres." L.Rubinshtein does not use the term "periodical belles-lettres" by chance: all the texts included are about the current situation of the colloquial language and its relationship with modern literacy.
Well-written and witty, Rubinshtein's essays are themselves samples of contemporary creative writing.
