Tatjana L. Nikolskaja.
Avant-garde and environs.

Т. Л. Никольская.
The book collects two decades of work by Tatiana Nikolskaja, renowned Petersburgian slavisist and expert in the history of the Russian and Georgian avant-garde. Its topics range from Tbilisi Literary societies of 1910's - 1920's to the Georgian brunch of Russian poetry: Zdanevich, I. Terentjev and J. Marr, to the "second prose" of the 1920's (K. Bolshakov, K. Vaginov and others), and such little known poets of the silver century as A. Radlova, O. Cheremshanova, B. Ender.
The separate part of the book comprises Nikolskaja's memoirs about Leningrad underground authors A.  Khvostenko, A. Sorokin, poets I. Brodsky, L. Chertkov and the elder generation of slavisists. Some of Nikolskaja's works are being published for the first time; others the author has considerably extended for this edition.
