Patrick Ourzhednik
Europeana. Brief history of the twentieth century

Witty, brilliantly written book by the modern Czech writer living in France is a stylistic experiment in the manner of absurdity, nonsense and burlesque. The XX century in the book is a figure of speech and fiction, ruthless mix of foolish slogans, ridiculous persuasions and stereotypes.

“Europeana” is acknowledged as “The Book of the year” in Czech Republic in 2001. It is translated into twenty languages.
