A Big Book of Nonsense Edward Lear (1812-1888) was a classic of English literature of the absurd of the XIX century. The present edition almost completely includes four main "books of nonsense", published during his lifetime. They include nonsense of different genres: stupid rhymes (limericks), stupid botany, stupid cooking, stupid ABC books and so on. Moreover, the "Big Book of Nonsense" includes a number of poems published posthumously. Lear has everything remarkable — graphics, paintings, travel books with views of Italy, Greece and other countries, letters that he filled with inimitable verbal play and funny drawings. This edition includes (translated for the first time) selected letters of Lear and excerpts from his travel diaries.
