Aleksej Alekseevich Ukhtomsky (1875–1942), physiologist of world reputation, had encyclopedic knowledge of philosophy, theology and literature and marked an imprint on the "hidden thinking" in Russia of 1920's–1930's. Deeply religious man of princely birth, he had authority over Old Believers on Uniform Church. Comprehensive ethic ideas of A. A. Ukhtomsky were unclaimed in the XX century and are not accepted to the full extent today. The miscellany, involving notes and correspondence of A. A. Ukhtomsky, should draw attention of a thoughtful reader to this unconventional intellectual literature.
