Dmitry Gubin – the journalist, the columnist, TV and the radio host, the blogger, the publicist, and according to some people - the rowdy, as malice suffices to him. Worked in Ogonek (The Spark) magazine of legendary Perestroika years; swore with Sobchak on air; interviewed Gorbachev, Zyuganov, Yavlinsky, Zhirinovsky; was the editor-in-chief of glossy magazines; conducted a TV show with Dibrov; after some accusatory speeches and exposures in an air he was forbidden on all federal TV and radio channels, and all the time wrote (and now writes) sketches on what makes a basis of Russian life — how people butt with their own state.
The book «A native land tax» includes the texts published from 2008 to 2011 in the Ogonek magazine. In some themes they continue subjects of D. Merezhkovsky’s «The Sick Russia».
