The book represents the works of French writer Louis-René des Forêts (1918-2000) translated into Russian for the fist time; such as: his early story “Chatterer” (1946), highly evaluated by contemporaries, primarily by G. Bataille and M. Blanchot, collected stories “Children’s room” (1960) developing main themes of “Chatterer” and awarded the  Premium of critique, and also a poem “Sea shrews” (1967) is one of the most unusual and striking examples of French poetry of the second part of the XX century.
